Screen Shot 2014-02-09 at 7.14.36 PMI took a lead role in launching the Industry & Innovation editorial vertical for Education Week and edweek.org. I developed the content and digital strategy, and helped conceive new editorial products.

I also was the lead writer of the Marketplace K-12 blog, covering technology’s role in education, innovative approaches to teaching and learning, and the ed-tech startup space.

While living in New York City in 2011, my friend Jason Alcorn and I spent six months documenting the lives of employees at a Manhattan pizzeria, as a debate over the city’s bicycle policy erupted into daily newspaper headlines and City Council meetings. The project includes a long-form feature articlea documentary short film, interactive graphics, and other multimedia elements.
